LUMINA CONSTRUCTION UPDATE – MAY 2024

As the flowers bloom around us this May, so does the progress at Lumina. We’re thrilled to bring you the latest on how your future home is shaping up. Here’s a snapshot of what our hard-working crew has achieved this month:

Exterior Elegance:

  • Siding & Painting: The east side of Lumina is nearly transformed with siding and painting nearly complete, giving a fresh, vibrant look as you approach.
  • Brickwork: The elegant ascent of brickwork has commenced on Lumina’s front (west) side, seamlessly blending traditional charm with its modern aesthetics.
  • Soffits: Installation has started on the east side with the wood roof soffits now stained to a beautiful hue, complementing the overall exterior elegantly.

Interior Infrastructure:

  • Sprinkler & Plumbing: All sprinkler systems and plumbing are roughed in, laying the foundation for a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Electrical Updates: Our electricians have completed the rough-in work on the 5th and 6th floors, with the 4th floor well underway.
  • Decorative Touches: The fiber crown decorative cornice moulding has arrived, ready to add a refined finish to the interiors.

Roof and Upper Levels:

  • Copper Roof: The striking copper roof, destined to crown Lumina, has arrived and is prepped for installation, soon to be a defining feature of the skyline.
  • Mechanical Room: Set to start this Monday, we’ll be installing all the hot water tanks, ensuring efficient systems throughout.

Additional Works:

  • Civil Works: Exciting times as we begin the civil works and underground services next week, paving the way for Lumina’s integration with the local infrastructure.
  • Vinyl Decking: The decks are now installed, offering a durable and inviting outdoor space for residents to enjoy.

Rainy Day Tasks:

  • Our crew has been efficiently using any rainy days to patch up and paint the interior of the parkade, ensuring every corner of Lumina is attended to with care and precision.
